-DESIREE LUM-: Balik Kampung

As usual, every school holiday i will go back to my uncle's house. It's the place where i grew up and surrounded with malay culture. My uncle married a malay and his wife is such a kind and friendly woman. We always call him Apaa and his wife Mama. When i'm a baby, my mum always send me there before she goes to work. Mama is the one that took care of me with care and love. I respect and love her so much and till now i still respect and love her. I'm close to their daughter too. Even though we have a big age gap but somehow we still connect to each other easily. She is the one that always play with me, forgive me when i'm naughty, treat me so well with all she can. Even though their family aren't rich, but because of this, they somehow bring out simple family bonding that most rich family can't.They know how to cherish things, make full use of an equipment and find ways for surviving in this cruel world.

Well, I balik kampung for four days. The first day, i went out with Boon Yue(My sis boyfriend) to Low Yat because he knows camera well. He's such a gentleman and good character man. I'm so happy for my sis because she has such an amazing boyfriend.Boon Yue and me survey for few camera shops and he teaches me some photography skills. I was quite shock because i was afraid that both of us are going to be in an awkward situation where only silence exists. But we chit chat like normal friends and finally i got my camera. It is Canon EOS M10. Then he took me to Pavillion for Japanese + Korean buffet(maybe), called SUKI-YA. It was so GOODDDD!! He was so kind to buy chinese soups for Apaa and the family.

The following days, i spend time with my cousins. It brightens up my day when the moment i open my door, there will be three little monkeys jumping and shouting "Ah Yi wake up ady!!" I'm so bless to eat Mama's specialty. Sambal, Mee Sua and other malay dishes. Sometimes, i look at Mama and my heart hurts. Just like how i feel when i look at my parents. She's almost 60 but she still need to take care of four grandchildren and one more on the way and she need to finish up all the house chores. But all i can do is so little compare what she is doing now. One of my wish from young is i'm going to repay her with all i can,let her enjoy the life she should enjoy and bring her to her dream city,London. I will fight for it because she is just like my second mum.

Adriana, Jasmine, Sophea, three little monkeys. please be good to Mama and remember she loves you all so much. Adam, when you grow up. Please protect Apaa and Mama. This four little cousins of mine, u all are so cute and adorable. I really hope all of you will grow up to be a good teenager. The one coming soon in March, please be a good boy too!
